Mark Cowan appointed president of Camp Cooley Ranch

On January 30, 2002, Klaus Birkel, Camp Cooley Ranch owner announced the appointment of Mark Cowan to the position of President of Camp Cooley Ranch.

Cowan joined the Camp Cooley Ranch team as Operations Manager in July 2001.  His responsibilities have included the day to day management of the 7th largest seedstock operation in the U.S. and one of the south’s largest coastal hay production units.  Under Cowan’s guidance, Camp Cooley Ranch hosted one of its most successful production sales in November, 2001.

In naming Cowan to the position of President, Birkel commented, “Mark’s leadership is apparent and he joins the very capable team of Charles Crochet, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Fernando Lamarca, Vice President of International Sales and Marketing, and Peggy Adcock, Chief Financial Officer.  This appointment completes the restructuring of the management of Camp Cooley Ranch and I believe we are looking toward a bright and prosperous future.”
