Larry L. Boleman, PhD. Currently serving the Texas A & M Agriculture Pro-gram as Assistant Deputy Vice Chancellor of Agri-culture and Life Sciences was recently named as the Texas Brahman Association’s Beef Booster of the Year. Since 1962, during the Texas Brahman Association’s Annual Meeting, a deserving person or entity is recognized for outstanding contributions to the beef industry. TBA President Arnold Saunders of Devine, said “Larry Boleman has spent a life time aiding the production rancher thru his various assignments within the Texas Extension Service and is a most deserving recipient of this year’s award. Dr. Boleman has given freely of himself for many years and it is only fitting that the Texas Brahman Association recognize him for life time achievement in service to our industry.”
Larry Boleman was born in 1945 in College Station, Texas and reared “out in the country” where he did all the right things like showing livestock and participating on judging teams. He earned his BS degree from Texas A & M in 1968 and afterwards married the love of his life, Pat Tanksley, whereupon he became a County Extension Agent serving Brazos and Taylor Counties.
