Dwyatt Bell of Sulphur Springs, Texas, was honored with the President’s Council Award during the ICA 30th Annual Conven-tion and Trade Show in Corpus Christi, Texas. ICA President Verlin Callahan of Cedar Creek, Texas, made the presentation June 10.
The President’s Council Award is presented annually to ICA directors who go above and beyond in their hard work and dedication to the association and in their assistance to the president. Bell is a member of the North East Texas ICA chapter and serves as an ICA state director and at-large member of the state executive board.
Bell is currently president of AgriLand, Farm Credit Services and oversees 10 offices covering 54 counties from the Gulf Coast to the Red River. In 2001, he was named Man of the Year in Texas Agricul-ture by the Texas County Agricultural Agents Asso-ciation, and he was awarded the 2000 Bill Clements Memorial Award by Build East Texas for his outstanding leadership in agriculture. Bell is a board member and spokesman for the Northeast Texas Beef Improvement Or-ganization, and he is past president of both the Hopkins County Profes-sional Ag Workers and Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce.
