The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will hold the Beef and Forage Field Day and Workshop on Sept. 16 in Livingston.
Onsite registration will begin at 8 a.m., with the program from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event will start at the Baker Ranch, 3750 West Farm-to-Market Road 1988. It will continue at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 836 W. Jones St.
The cost is $20, and advance registration is required at https://tx.ag/BeefAndForage. Snacks will be provided but lunch is not included.
Texas Department of Agriculturecontinuing education units are available — two general and one integrated pest management — for applicator license holders.
Beef and Forage Field Day topics
Morning topics and hands-on presentations at Baker Ranch will include:
- Weed identification.
- Result demonstrations.
- Tank mixing and calibration.
Afternoon topics will be:
- Winter pasture integrated pest management.
- Herd management post-drought.
