New Welding Tools Available

APPLETON, Wis., Aug. 28, 2008A new line of welding tools and accessories from Hobart Welding Products allows welders to free up their hands for greater control and faster setup. A series of heavy-duty clamps and fit-up magnets vary in strength and function for most welding situations encountered in the shop or garage. The new line includes:

F-Clamps

Hobart F-clamps (sliding-arm clamps) are nearly 10 times faster to use than C-clamps and offer stronger, more efficient holding power. Built with the strength of drop forged, heat-treated, nickel/chrome plated bar stock, the F-clamps feature a screw with copper-coating to protect against weld spatter.

Hobart F-clamps are available in three grades of clamping pressure and various sizes:

2-Axis Clamp

Hobarts 2-Axis Clamp is an economical solution for a perfect 90-degree fit-up. Ideal for welding square tube, round tube, angle and channel iron, the 2-Axis Clamp features a floating head and rotating spindle screw that adjusts to align and hold work pieces in place. MSRP $30

 

Locking Pliers / Welding Clamps

Hobarts four new Locking Pliers and Welding Clamps make setup easy. They feature a heavy-duty gnarled head and nickel-chrome plated handles, which are rubberized in black and orange to increase comfort. These tools are rugged, yet simple to adjust and are available in four sizes:

360-Degree Swivel Magnet

Hobarts swivel magnet adjusts to almost any angle to hold metal objects in place while welding. Both 3 in. magnets swivel 360 degrees for accurate placement and pull with 50 lbs. of strength. MSRP $12

 

Magnetic Ground Clamp

Rated at 500-amps, Hobarts Magnetic Ground Clamp can stick to any weld-able ferrous metal and features an orange rubberized release lever. MSRP $9

 

Quick Release On/Off Magnets

A simple twist of the knob release on Hobarts Quick Release magnet easily engages or disengages a firm hold on thick steel, making accurate fit-up a snap.
