ROBSTOWN – The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in Nueces County will present a Dinner Tonight Path to the Plate event April 14 at the Rockin’ K Maze, 5385 County Road 52 in Robstown.

“This will be our second annual Dinner Tonight Path to the Plate event,” said Jason Ott, AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent, Nueces County. “A three-course surf and turf dinner will be served, while attendees enjoy live cooking demonstrations featuring the use of fresh ingredients to create delicious and nutritious dishes.”

Ott said Path to the Plate is a research-based education program of Texas A&M AgriLife that helps consumers understand how food choices impact their health.

“Local agricultural commodities will be featured as part of the program,” he noted.

Early registration is $35 before April 5 and $45 after.

To register, call Ott or Norma Munoz the AgriLife Extension office in Nueces County at 361-767-5217. By email, contact Ott at j-ott@ag.tamu.edu or Munoz at norma.munoz@ag.tamu.edu.

“Space is limited, so we request attendees register as soon as possible to ensure space,” Ott said. “People with any shellfish allergies should advise us of those upon registration.”
