Mid Coast Santa Gertrudis Association To Hold Field Day

The Mid Coast Santa Gertrudis Association will hold a field day, Saturday, September 6th at 10 a.m. It will be held at Wendt Ranch, Bay City, Texas.

Activities on tap for the day include judging contest, tour of the ranch as well as two educational presentations.

Joe Jones, Briggs Ranches, Bloomington, Texas will address the Santa Gertrudis Breeders International Standard of Excellence program and Scott Moore, King Ranch, Kingsville, Texas will discuss the importance of feedlot data and steer feedouts.   

A fajita lunch, prepared by the Townsend Ranch Cooking Team will be served.

Wendt Ranch is located east of Bay City on Hwy 35, turn south at the red light by Chili’s onto FM 457. Drive 6.5 miles and you will see the Wendt Ranch sign and entrance.
