Just Your Standard Bull

This past week’s release of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report showing no evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign has brought another round of mud slinging between Trump, the Democrats and the liberal media. His vindication of wrong-doing has put the president on the offensive. And he certainly doesn’t mind pointing fingers at anyone and everyone he thinks deserving of his ridicule.
I’m reminded of the past when under Obama’s eight-year term how old it got when Obama blamed President Bush for every problem that occurred under his administration. Now, I’m certainly not suggesting that our current president is above pointing at least some blame towards the previous administration. However, the two major differences I see between the current administration and previous ones is simply this. NO ONE is off limits, and the president does not fight fair!
When I hear or read the president’s comments, I find myself thinking or saying, “well that doesn’t sound very presidential.” One has to readily admit that there are many comments, tweets or quotes from Trump that you find yourself thinking that comments like that are beneath him or at the very least, beneath one who holds this office.
For an example, Presi-dent Trump is really taking the House Intelligence Committee chairman U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., to the woodshed. But not just with words. He takes it a step further with the sale of “Pencil-Neck Adam Schiff” t-shirts. According to Fox News, the term stems from a Trump campaign rally held on March 28th in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where the president blasts Schiff over his Trump-Russia collusion claims. The t-shirt features the House Intelli-gence Committee chairman with a pencil for a neck. It sells for $28. If you would like to purchase one, you can buy one online, while supplies last. The website also proudly boasts that the t-shirt is “Proudly Made in the USA.”
Now, can you imagine serving this president in an advisory capacity? First of all, you know he is going to say what is on his mind, regardless of what advice you may give him. He is going to tweet exactly what he is thinking at the time, in spite of any warnings you may convey. So, what advice do you give a guy like this? It is painfully obvious that President Trump is not like his predecessors. It is also equally obvious that he does not care.
But I also think he truly believes that his approach is the right approach to combat the bias of the liberal media, the Democratic Party, and its Hollywood-centered support base. And who am I to argue?
Just this weekend, former Vice-President Joe Biden is accused of sexual misconduct. In response, he releases a statement, citing “Neither then, nor in the years since, did he or the staff with him at the time have an inkling that Ms. Flores had been at any time uncomfortable, nor do they recall what she describes,” the statement said. “But Vice President Biden believes that Ms. Flores has every right to share her own recollection and reflections, and that it is a change for better in our society that she has the opportunity to do so. He respects Ms. Flores as a strong and independent voice in our politics and wishes her only the best.”
Folks, I call this political whitewash. In an age of political correctness, Biden basically says, “I didn’t do this! But I respect her right to accuse me.” COME ON! Joe, if you didn’t do it, then she doesn’t have the right to accuse you! In fact, you are the only one who shouldn’t be politically correct—IF you didn’t do it! Furthermore, IF she is lying, do you REALLY wish her the best?
So now I ask you—who would you rather have? Would you rather have a president who tells it like it is, and lets the chips fall where they may? Or, would you rather have a president who is more concerned with aligning himself with the liberal media?
On the one side, you have a guy who says, no, I don’t recall doing that, but I respect your right to accuse me. On the other, you have a guy that might say, heck no I didn’t touch her. She’s not my type!
