Jerry Morrow Passes

    Jerald D. Morrow, 84, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010. He was a well-known cattleman and dog trainer/breeder.
    Jerry was born October 25, 1925, to Ira D. and Martha Breen Morrow in Crested Butte, Colorado. His family owned and ran the Puritan Dairy in Kemmerer, Wyoming. He served in the Air Force during WWII. He is a graduate of University of Wyoming completing a Bachelor Degree in Animal Science.
He is preceded in death by his son, Michael Clark Morrow; sister, Kathryn Larsen; brother, Edward E. Morrow Sr.; and step-son, Clayton E. Stubbs.
    He is survived by his wife, Connie Case Morrow, Pickens, Mississippi; brother, George A Morrow (Sally), Dayton, Virginia; daughter, Martha Ann Morrow by former wife, Dale Clark Morrow; granddaughters, Erin Ehlinger and Carly Morrow, all from Chattanooga, Tennessee; step-sons, H. Cameron Stubbs (Jessica), Madison, Mississippi and Casey H. Stubbs, Pickens, Mississippi.
    He served in the agriculture industry and managed multiple cattle operations throughout North America. He served as the Regional Manager and Director of Regional Managers of the American Angus Assn. in St. Joseph, Missouri; Executive Vice President of the International Brangus Breeders Assn. and President of the Brangus Journal in San Antonio, Texas. He served as the President of the National Pedigree Livestock Council and formed the Wineglass Genetics consulting firm which serviced individual cattle operations in which he formulated a new breed of cattle, Angus Plus. Later he served as the foreign marketing consultant with the American Angus Assn in Mexico and South America. Upon retiring he devoted his talents to breeding and training Labrador retriever dogs at Wineglass Kennels in Pickens Mississippi.
    Visitation is today from 5-8 pm at Breeland Funeral Home in Canton, MS. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at 2 pm with visitation one hour prior at First United Methodist Church, Lexington, Mississippi.
